Tioga Community Library
Effective starting June 2019
Tioga Community Library’s blog, Facebook page, Instagram and Twitter are places for patrons to share opinions about library related subjects/issues. Comments are welcome and will be reviewed. The following will be removed by Tioga Community Library’s editors before or after being published:
- Potentially libelous comments
- Obscene comments
- Racist comments and hate speech
- Personal attacks, insults, or threatening language
- Plagiarized material
- Private/personal information published without consent
- Comments unrelated to the topic of the forum
- Commercial promotions, advertisements, or spam
- Hyperlinks to material that is not directly related to the discussion
By posting a comment you agree to indemnify Tioga Community Library and its officers and employees from and against all liabilities, judgments, damages, and costs (including attorney’s fees) incurred by any of them which arise out of or are related to the content that you post.
Forums and messaging may not be used for commercial purposes or organized political activity.
Tioga Community Library reserves the right to monitor all content before it is posted, and to modify or remove any messages or postings that it deems, in its sole discretion, to be abusive, defamatory, in violation of the copyright, trademark right, or other intellectual property right of any third party, or otherwise inappropriate. Tioga Community Library also reserves the right to modify or remove any messages after posting in response to requests or other commentary. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Tioga Community Library is not obligated to take any such actions and will not be responsible or liable for content posted by any subscriber in any forum, message board, thread, or other area within the service.
